The band recently went into the studio to create an EP. Comprised of only as many tracks as they could get recorded in one day, it was an attempt to showcase the wide range of sounds their original repitoir contains. Sadly, it only scratches the surface.
Catch Light is an American rock band from the Chicago area. Drawing from blues, jazz, folk, prog metal, jam band traditions, and plenty of undefinable detours in between, the group blends these influences into their own strain of Alternative-Jam-Art-Rock.
Although officially established at the end of 2025, Catch Light is anything but new. The band is largely made up of musicians who have played together on and off for more than two decades across various projects, carrying with them years of shared history, musical evolution, and creative shorthand.
